Islamic learning for kids 4 to 12

The Islamic learning game kids ask to play.

Your child watches a short story with Noor, answers Noor's quiz, then plays a game as their very own Ilmling. Every question is something they just learned.

How a lesson works

Watch, quiz, play, celebrate

About 10 minutes a lesson, and you choose the daily limit. Learning comes first; the game is how it sticks.

1

Watch

A short story with Noor the lantern teaches one or two ideas.

Noor asks a quiz question inside the game world with four big answer buttons
2

Noor's quiz

Three quick questions, read aloud. Older kids type their answers to prove real recall.

Lantern Runner: the child's Ilmling runs down a desert track toward lanterns with answers
3

Play

A game built from that lesson. Each idea must be answered right twice.

Lesson complete screen with three stars, gems and confetti
4

Celebrate

Stars, gems and progress on the map. Missed ideas come back later in a different game.

Six games

A different game every lesson

Each lesson picks a game so it never gets old. Kids play as themselves, in worlds that change as they go.

Lava Leap

Lava Leap

Run and jump across the lava, then land on the right answer.

Lantern Runner

Lantern Runner

Swipe between lanes and run through the right lantern.

Star Catcher

Star Catcher

Stand under the right falling star on a night meadow.

Balloon Pop

Balloon Pop

Tap the right balloon before it floats into the sky.

Caravan Slither

Caravan Slither

Lead your camel caravan to the right oasis lantern.

Bridge Builder

Bridge Builder

Put steps like wudu in order to build a bridge, then cross it.

Six Ilmlings: kids in a thobe and kufi, abayas and hijabs, a team jersey, a dress, and a hoodie

Your own Ilmling

Every child plays as themselves

On day one, your child makes their Ilmling. Lessons earn gems, and gems unlock new clothes in their closet.

  • Skin tones, hair styles and faces so every child sees themselves
  • Hijabs, kufis, thobes, abayas, shalwar kameez, jerseys and more
  • Gems come only from learning and play. Nothing is ever for sale to kids

What they learn

Five lands to light up

Drift, a sleepy sand cloud, has dimmed the Lantern Lands. Every region your child learns relights a great lantern.

10 lessonsDawn GardensThe five prayers, wudu, the adhan, the steps of salah and masjid manners
12 lessonsEmber CoastStories of the Prophets, from Adam to Muhammad, peace be upon them. The Prophets are never drawn
19 lessonsStarlight MountainsAll 99 Names of Allah, each one a star in your child's night sky
31 lessonsIqra QuestThe 300 most common words in the Quran, ten at a time

Iqra Quest

51.7%

of every word in the Quran comes from just 300 words.

Ilmlings teaches them ten at a time. As your child learns, the words light up in real surahs, so recitation starts to carry meaning.

Tap a glowing word to see its meaning.

Al-Fatiha. Gold words are among the 300 a child learns in Iqra Quest. Quran text from the Tanzil Project.

Questions

What parents ask

What ages is it for?

Ages 4 to 12, in three tracks: 4 to 6 (questions read aloud, two choices, easier games), 7 to 9, and 10 to 12 (typed answers and faster games).

Is there music?

No. Ilmlings uses voices, sound effects and nature sounds only: wind in the desert, birds in the garden, a flowing river.

Who checks the content?

Every lesson is reviewed by scholars before release. Quran recitation is by a real reciter, never generated by AI. The Prophets are never drawn.

Which school of thought does it follow?

It teaches what mainstream schools agree on and shows accepted variations with respect. In setup you can choose Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali or General, and the prayer lessons show your choice first.

What happens when my child gets something wrong?

Noor explains the right answer, and the idea comes back later in a different game. Ideas that are still tricky show up in your parent area so you can help.

What devices does it work on?

It runs in the web browser on iPads, tablets and computers. Older devices get a simpler version automatically. iPhone and Android apps follow.

When can we play, and what will it cost?

Founding-family early access opens in December 2026, with the full launch planned for Ramadan 2027. Founding families lock in a founding-family price, shared before launch.

Is it addictive?

It is built to make learning a daily habit, not to keep children on screens. You set a daily limit for each child, and when time is up the game ends kindly. There are no ads and nothing to buy inside the game.
